Leadership

Dr. James Rasbeary, Pastor

James Rasbeary grew up in a second-generation military home – his father and grandfather served in the US Navy for a combined 52 years. After his father’s retirement, the family moved from Virginia to Weatherford, Texas. While attending Weatherford High School, a teenager invited him to attend Friend Day at the South Side Baptist Church. Under the preaching of Pastor Jerry Miller, Bro. Rasbeary was saved. About the same time, a teenage bus kid named Amanda Hudson was also saved at SSBC. The two married in 1994. At age 17, Bro. Rasbeary surrendered to preach and enrolled in Bible college. He is a graduate of the Norris Bible Baptist Institute, the Trinity Baptist Bible College, and Slidell Baptist Seminary. Mrs. Rasbeary serves in many capacities and homeschools their four children.

Greg Camp, Music Director

Greg Camp was saved as a teenager in California when an independent Baptist pastor visited his home and led his family to Christ. He and Mrs. Camp are graduates of Hyles-Anderson College. They lead our music ministry and serve in several other very important areas.

Kevin Absher, Youth Pastor

Bro. Absher was first reached through a bus ministry in Mesquite. Later, he and his mother began attending an independent Baptist Church, where he also attended Christian School. Bro. Absher is a graduate of Trinity Baptist Bible College. The Abshers lead our youth department and children’s church.
